My search for the next mainstream prog star takes us on our second journey throughout the world. The trip takes us to Finland and Norway with a long layover in Italy. As I mentioned in the first multilingual bracket these songs are outside of my comfort zone since they are all sung in languages that I do not understand, but I like their sounds and hope that you will enjoy them as well. Which one has the most mainstream appeal in my fantasy alternative reality where the mainstream listens to music produced by prog rock artists?
Canterbury in Italy: One scene in the video is kind of graphic so beware. A monster of a symphonic track. Brought to you in full colour TV. Another band that could be in the heavy hitter category with a new song on album of re-recorded old songs. Vote for the song that you think could have the most mainstream success for a prog band in my alternative reality? If you missed the first multilingual bracket and want to check it out and vote, here is the link: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=123609&PID=5789878#5789878">https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=123609&PID=5789878#5789878 This concludes the second round of brackets. I will return tomorrow with round 3 of the heavy hitters. All of the brackets in the first two rounds have been posted and can still be voted in to anyone who is interested. |

Gosh, are these all songs from the last three years ? I know Le Orme, but not their latest album, but all these seem to be a pure nostalgia trip back to the early 70s. Anyway, I vote Le Orme, which seems to me the most rocking and swinging of the five...

Vote for Sammal. Very Spock's Beard-ish. Could be a hit in your alt universe.

I'm voting L'Orme for this one. They kept my interest and they had a good vocalist. Mentri dorme, Fabula sirenis and Brogerlig Tussmorke had elements I enjoyed, but then they lost me. Sammal was my least favourite, I actually didn't watch any of the videos, just listened.
