Ninth in a series of polls started 8 years ago, involving picking a band and trying to find people's favorite album art of that particular group.

Choose your favorite album, based strictly on the album art. These polls are meant for studio albums only, but please feel free to mention your favorite live/ep/comp/etc cover arts as well.

This time will feature Dewa Budjana as the band in the spotlight. (The last album on the page isn't listed as it's a collaborative album, listed as a separate named project.)

I like these polls because it's a good way to make me aware of interesting bands. Haven't heard a thing of them but will vote anyway, and then listen. My vote goes to Dawai in Paradise.

I have never heard of this guy before. World Crossover is one of my favorite genres - it can be so diverse but I love to hear things combined that we normally would not think of. This is right up my alley. My vote went to Dewai in Paradise. Clever, and the landscape it depicts reminds me of places I used hike.

The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

Have not heard of him before, but I am intrigued to listen. Of the covers, I put in the first vote for Hasta Karma.

Zentuary. Also, a good album to start your Dewa journey.

I'd say either this or Dawai In Paradise is the best entry point. (Zenturary is a bit on the long side for an intro, although it is probably my favorite.)

That said, even if you don't like these two, the albums vary within the fusion realm depending on who is playing on them, so there still may be something you'll like in there.

Glad to hear someone gets something out of these polls. Thumbs Up

It would be cool to hear feedback from those who posted but have never heard Dewa, their thoughts about his music on first listen. I only have three of his releases and all are stellar. Great musicians collaborating with him.

A similar Indonesian artist, Tohpati, is worth checking out.

Don't really like the visual style, but Mahandini looks decent and even interesting. Bonus points for elephant.
And some deducted for guitar stuck everywhere.
