After listening to dozens of bands for months (with the help from many of you) trying to find another DT, another Pain of Salvation or another Lemur Voice, I finally succeeded! Andromeda is fantastic. It's exactly what I want right now. Voivod, Devin Townsend, In the Woods, Arcturus, Meshuggah, Redemption, Riverside and others left me partly satisfied, but not feeling the pure exhilaration of great prog metal, not beeing able to dissolve into the music. Extension of the Wish is pure prog-metal the way I want it; groovy, surprising, breath-taking, varied, beautiful, complex and tight. I=II is also great. Prog metal is doing perfectly fine in the 21:st century.

Thank you progarchives!

I too have recently discovered them, only heard extensions of the wish, downloaded from PA, and the excerpts from their site. Very good indeed.

I just found out that Andromeda have recorded and mixed their third album(!), but no release date has been set since they currently have no record deal (!!). This is news that is almost half a year old, does anyone posess more up to date information?

I like Andromeda a lot.Extension of the Wish and II=I are excellent albums.I prefer EotW slightly over II=I(which is more melodic than the debut).

If you liked Andromeda try Ice Age(I highly recommend The Great Divide)and Pagan's Mind.

Yes, I have Sun Cage, but haven't really gotten into it. I have the same problem with Divided, Lemur Voices second album. I think Insights is the only real gem. The rest's not bad, though.

They've even shot the cover photo for the new album way back in May, what's with the manager of this band? Get them signed for crying out loud!
