Sorry, but neither of the covers do anything for me.  The Dr Who'ish phone box might be more interesting if it perhaps had a futuristic London background for a Live in London concert.  Skull for metal music just seems so predictable.

The phone box one is quite good but I have no desire to hear a DT cover after hearing their version of "Xanadu".

it's the cover art and not actual cover versions of songs.

Second one is much better, I don't like the first one.

LOL

it can't be worse than their covering of Pink Floyd's DSotM. It's DSotM without the vocal dynamic vocal performance that Roger, David and Rick had. Just LaBrie. Poor guy ruined the whole thing, for me at least.

I haven't heard that one but that's pretty much what he did to Xanadu. The band played the song practically note for note, which is pointless imo anyway, and then he ruined it on top.

Poor LaBrie..........He's been more just ok to miserable than a consistently well regarded vocalist.

Frankly, i'm just upset they didn't call it "social distance over time"

Both covers look like they were made in Microsoft Paint to be honest, this will likely be a skip for me as the 3 albums covered on disc 1, Systematic Chaos, Black Clouds and Distance Over Time are my 3 least favorite Dream Theater albums, and I don't think this version of metropolis is going to be the definitive live version. Also, I saw them on this tour and it was just very disappointing due to an obnoxiously loud concert volume and general muddy mix. It's a shame in the preview they released James Labrie doesn't even sound remotely human, same issue with distance over time. So much autotune and post production on the vocals.
