Rick Wakeman considers that to be the best organ solo on record. It's hard to disagree with that. I think maybe he likes it because it's so complicated. I doubt Wakeman himself could play it very easily.

There's a guy on YouTube who performs it. You can watch him and then decide if it's too much for the Caped Crusader to handle. LOL

There's probably a lot of cover versions of it. You need to be more specific. Wink

Watch any of them. "Let your fingers do the walking!" Wink
Don't feel bad. I've never heard an organ piece that couldn't be copied by someone for a cover version, including Wakeman's from Roundabout.

The organ explosion on Close to the Edge by Yes.

But is it a Hammond? Ermm  Sounds like pipe organ but it is awesome!

It’s the pipe organ immediately following the “I get up/I get down” section.

Rick Wakeman does some great Hammond on this obscure track from the folk group Paper Bubble that he played on in his Strawbs days.

Fermented Hours by Wobbler from the album From Silence To Somewhere. The organ is mostly present in the first half of the track, and it’s such a joy to hear.

You’re going to really like By the Banks from their latest album. It opens with a blazing Hammond performance too.

Check out Larry Young slaying on this great cut from Lenny White's 1975 album Venusian Summer:

Soldato of the Pan Head Mafia. We'll make you an offer you can't listen to.

It's only at this late moment that I've remembered one of my favorite Hammond solos:

Duncan Mackay on "Lies", from CAMEL's 1981 album Nude.
