Ian Anderson (JT) - Flute
Mel Collins (KC) - Sax Greg Lake (ELP) - Bass Mike Rutherford (Genesis) - Bass Bill Bruford (Yes) - Drums, Percussion Nick Mason (PF) - Drums, Percussion No guitars or vocals you say? Well, no. I like instrumental music as much as I like music with vocals, so I thought I’d take a different route. I also love a great rhythm section, and I’ve always liked those that are doubled up. Apart from KC’s infamous double trio, I’ve only come across bands with two bassists, or two drummers, but not two of each. This supergroup seemed the perfect opportunity to create another double trio. Now, I could have gone for guitars, but I also have a lot of love for bands that choose not to use them, and use brass instead. This year alone, there have been magnificent releases from Ottone Pesante and Kilter. I’d prefer a double trio containing sax, bass and drums - but Ian Andersonon flute is the next best thing, I guess.... |

I'd like to have had Robert Fripp in my Big Six Supergroup, but he probably would've fired the other five members of the band at some point.

^Or insist he be billed as "featuring Robert Fripp." But, hell, he deserves it.
