First picture of Robert Fripp with a guitar.  He is with his sister, Patricia, who told me:

"That photo is the day after Brother received his first guitar when he was 11 or 12."

Both are wonderful people!!

Thank you for that! Now trying to imagine how this young chubby lad came up with labyrinthine, blasphemous Schizoid Man passages some ten years later... Very captivating picture, so different from today.

Not sure if it's prog, but I love this photo of a blues legend (Eric Clapton) watching Joni Mitchell playing with her weird tunings and self-created chords and trying to work out wft she's doing. Apparantly he was sat there for a whole afternoon LOL

And another one of some of the Laurel Canyon residents

A curiosity, the monocycle guy on the album covers of Dream Theater's A Dramatic Turn of Events and of Circus Maximus' The 1st Chapter, are actually half copied from the same drawing

Phil Collins, Anthony Phillips and the Song That Wouldnt Die
Here's a relatively obscure one of Genesis from probably around 1969. Not sure who the guy in the middle is but it's either John Mayhew or John Silver. Does anyone know?

Another curiosity. Sony Germany released a Kansas compilation CD in 1997, called Dust in the Wind.
The funny fact is that whoever was in charge of choosing a picture for the cover mistook Edgar Winter for Kerry Livgren, and put a picture of the Edgar Winter Group as the cover of the album LOL
