This looks set to be another three-way Relayer race again, just like the sixth album poll, although I'm holding onto a Lifeline of hope that Novella will win this poll, in which case I'll celebrate with Rhapsodies of delight, for as long as The Spell remains unbroken.

one band replaced a legendary singer and one band replaced a legendary keyboardist and both came up with extraordinary albums---a major achievement not many other bands could ever pull off.

But for how long can Renaissance hold on to that lead, when the Turn of the Cards may see Genesis or Yes take the lead again.

Relayer, it has to be Relayer. No question. Novella would come second, and The Spell from the Enid, third. Wakeman's Rhapsodies may get silly, but there is some good music there.

I will give some love to Camel on this one, partly because Renaissance gets my vote for the next one no matter who the competition is, and partly because I think "I can see your house" is underrated

Not an easy pick, but I selected Relayer! Good poll, there was a lot of great music back then!

in the spirit of the shell of the pending holiday that awaits, I will not speak ill of you or Renaissance. But to pass over "Grave New World"...preposterous!
