Desert of Bones is a prog-blues/rock project headed by vocalist Nelson Castello (Son of a Witch - Brazil) and guitarist Roberto Phrankson (Blackhalls - Brazil) which brings, following the classic path of the old school progressive rock albums, a conceptual story. The recording had its scenario developed from the track “The Future through a Blind Man’s Eye” – the first track composed by them – and from that idea the complete imagery was created, defining the plot of all the other songs in the production. The concept of a prophet who guides his fearful people through the drought and barrenness of the great desert is expanded and dramatized throughout nine songs on the album, all brought to life in this mood surrounded by mysticism, witchcraft and blind devotion. The themes of organs and synths, along with the almost clean fuzz guitar riffs and solos, bring a vintage feeling to the sound, reminiscent of some classic 70's hard/kraut-rock bands. Desert of Bones is a sound experiment that reminds us of times when we could sit down, turn on the sound, and enjoy a complete album rambling and contemplating its conceptual art cover, imagining its stories, and traveling through its plot. A time that seems lost nowadays – a past way beyond of its vintage timbres and tunes.

A story that turned into a song, a song that turned into a desert Saga. A tale of mysticism, witchcraft and sacrifice described throughout nine songs of acid psychedelic riffs of organs and guitars. If you’re willing to have a walk on through this desert, check them out bellow.

very good multi-faceted album Clap

vintage mooded blend of heavy psych, stoner, blues, art rock, partially in the vein of Witchwood, Siena Root, Arabs In Aspic, Thin Lizzy ...
progressive rock elements are definitely available
the teams will decide if this is enough to warrant an inclusion to the archives

forwarded to the heavy prog team
