Forgive me if this is in the wrong area of the forum, I literally had no idea where this should go LOL:

Anyone else collect progressive rock band shirts? I have a bunch, and just ordered a killer Genesis SEBTP shirt!

I have shirts from:
Yes
Camel
Captain Beefheart (I have THE best TMR shirt of all time, I'll show for proof!)
Genesis
Death
Gorguts
Pestilence

What about you guys?! Tongue

I don't really collect them. I had a few when I was younger but they wouldn't fit me now even if I still had them!

I do have a tour T-shirt from the sadly curtailed Pendragon LOF tour of this year, to go with my tour hoodie and beanie.

Pink Floyd-WYWH
KC-Discipline
A Genesis with a picture of Peter in his flower mask.
Marillion-Marbles Tour
Spock's Beard-anniversary shirt
I bought one at BajaProg one year that had a heart and the words "Prog Rock" on the front, and a list of dozens of popular and obscure prog bands on the back.
And a most excellent Dark Side t-shirt with a dog acting as the prism on the cover of "Bark Side of the Moon."

I don't think any of these fit anymore and I might not even have some of them anymore:

Pink Floyd - MLOR tour 1988
Pink Floyd - one with the lightbulb man, but didn't get from the tour
Pink Floyd - DSOTM prism (gift)
Spock's Beard - V album
Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun; bought at Yes concert where they were the opening act in 2002

I can't remember having any others. I wear clothes until they have holes in them and then they end up in the garage either as rags or to wear when I'm messing around with oil and crap.

I have had several over the years, all long worn out and gone: Tull (3), Yes (2), Led Zeppelin '77, Black Sabbath, Kiss.

Only a generic Zappa one. And a Beatles one from Target with the Union Jack. Nothing interesting yet really.

I have more Star Wars shirts. Though I do have some DSOTM pajamas. The elastic is worn on the bottoms though. And I still have more Star Wars pjs than that...

One of the funniest and most interesting shirts I've seen is one depicting "Ralph Waldo Emerson", the Romantic era writer.

It's a picture of Ralph Wiggum (of The Simpsons show) dressed as Waldo (from the "Where's Waldo?" picture books), surrounded by old school organs/synths with the cables and such (Keith Emerson).

I love it so much because you have to understand not one or three but FOUR things that it's referencing.

I'm wearing one of my favorites onstage under the white lab coat = Brand X tee shirt, purchased at a gig about 1980.

I'm fond of this one for many reasons - I wore it to the Sarah Pillow/Brand X reunion show they did in Chicago in 2001 at a small club (Martyr's), and John Goodsall commented on it!  He said it would sell for a fortune in Japan!

(p.s. this band was "Casual Crobar," a Spinal Tap cover band done by a bunch of musicians as a lark!  Hell of a good time!)
