Gentle Giant is the superior band but Moonmadness is the superior album.

Even though GG is my preferred band, I give this one to Camel. Moonmadness is their best effort IMHO and I prefer In A Glass House and all that came after to most of Octopus anyway.

Moonmadness is damn near flawless while Octopus is a lesser 'Giant album for me.

For my money, two of the best prog records of all time (not a particularly hot take eh?), but with that said, Moonmadness IS my favorite record of all time, soooo....Embarrassed

Nah, they're both up there for sure! Octopus is the best full-Shulman bro affair, even though I prefer nearly everything that came after because I get off on super-tech/busy stuff LOL LOLWink.

Moonmadness is Camel at their absolute peak IMHO.

Easy, easy vote for Octopus.  GG absolutely on fire.  Panurge alone is more interesting than the entire Moonmadness album as far as I am concerned.

Every time I see one of these two-album polls pop up again, I have to check to see if I've already voted. Smile
