Both bands released three albums between 1976 and 1978.
We have Camel - Moonmadness - Rain Dances - Breathless Genesis - A Trick of the Tail - Wind & Wuthering - And Then There Were Three. So which one is it for you?

Genesis by a vast margin. Different league altogether. IMO.

Moonmadness > Trick of The Tail
BUT the string of Genesis albums is stronger overall. Camel ended after Moonmadness to my ears.

Where’s the ‘both’ option?
A couple of years back I would’ve voted Genesis without a doubt in my mind. These days though it’s different. Sure I vastly prefer Trick over Moonmadness but the subsequent Camel albums have both matured for the better. Given my mood or the time of day I could vote for any of these two bands. ...which is a cop-out I know...so eenie-meenie-miny-moe it is. Camel! |

Genesis. Of course A Live Record versus Seconds Out would need a 'both' option. |

It'd be sheer Lunar Sea for me not to vote for Camel.

Genesis.
I was never the biggest Camel fan though, save for a few stellar tunes here and there.

Camel, just because of And Then There Were Three, otherwise it would be a tie.

Camel, 3/3 as opposed to Genesis 2/3 because of the extremely average 'And Then There Were Three'
