Here are all the songs from Pink Floyd's psych-pop debut LP (1967), arranged in a poll. Brilliant album, much underrated and sometimes neglected for reasons I do not comprehend.

Astronomy or Interstellar. Either or. Today, Domine dominates.

Piper was my intro to the Floyd waaaay back - loved it but always felt that some of the other tracks came off as weirdness for the sake of weirdness, but Chapter 24 - yikes!  Chilling stuff for a little kid to take in, eh?  Then Scarecrow brings us back to the fun.

Today it's Matilda Mother ever so slightly over Astronomy Domine for me, but I really like them all.

I guess Astronomy Domine and Interstellar Overdrive are going to take this away so I am going to the other end of the spectrum of their music, privileging the humour (because 97% of prog bands lack that completely - don't hesitate to contradict me Tongue ). I ride a Bike!

I can't vote. They're uniformly awful.

Matilda Mother was always my favourite, but Chapter24, Astronomy Domine and Lucifer Sam aren't far behind.

Pow R. Toc H. Second choice would be Lucifer Sam, followed by Bike and Astronomy Domine.

Absolutely but the whole album is incredible

The one I've got the better memories since the early nineties is Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk.
Probably as close as what they were doing live at the time. As much as Interstellar Overdrive. The Syd stuff is overshadowed by Astronomy Domine. And yet better Syd songs came solo. "Late Night","WOLFPACK"!

Interstellar but Astronomy is ok also....neither of Floyds first 2 lp's did a lot for me though they are 'fun'.
They came out when I was still in high school and for most of us in Indiana they w ere under the radar.
I didn't really get into Floyd until '69 at college and it was Umma and Atom heart then Meddle.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

The first one they ever put on an album is one of their best. The album is a bit uneven but I love more than half of it. Pow R Toc H is big fun, and Bike was a surprise winner on Nick Mason's recent tour.

Astronomy Domine, easily, followed by Interstellar Overdrive... though I prefer the live version from the Early Years box set. Barrett era Floyd is hit or miss for me, though I do like Lucifer Sam and Matilda Mother too.
