A slight change in RAC has to be introduced - it will be starting on Fridays from now on. And to kick it off with the new 'rule', I chose 2009 - a pretty good year for prog by looking at the random selection.

So, fellow forum users, vote and comment which is your favorite album from that year. Mine is a toss between Mastodon and Porcupine Tree, but I will go with the former today.

I’m with Cristi. I need more time. Unlike the other two new RAC polls, there is no clear winner for me. It’s between four at the moment. I’ll come back to this after some thought.

Not the most appealing list for me, but IQ's Frequency remains on the same wavelength as their other recent work (i.e. last 20 years...), so they get my nod.

Voted Riverside. Could also have been IQ, BBT, or BTBAM.

I’m going with what my gut instinct was when I first looked at this. I’ve gone away, and thought about it, and there’s still very little in it, but my gut tells me to go for The Incident, which is easily one of my most favourite PT albums.

Oh, mine was not a comment on your list, but a wild guess what Lewian could have voted for (the post above mine - should have used the ^-thing...). I like your random lists, and especially the fact that they comprise regularly some non-prog bands...
