In the topographic oceans of prog-rock, there's always been a few precious gems that have remained hidden from view just below the waves. Well, this blog will hopefully change all that by featuring an A-Z list of long-lost album treasures from the excellent Prog Line channel on YouTube. I'll include a link to a full album here each day and also feature a track from each album if it's available as well as giving a PA star rating to every album along the way. This could be a wild ride, so fasten your seat belts and get ready for a journey to the centre of the prog universe. Smile

Alain Renaud plays all of the instruments himself, apart from drums, although you have to listen very carefully indeed to hear the drums, but you can certainly hear the crackles of static on this YouTube vinyl rip. Smile

In golfing terms, an albatross is three under par, but there's nothing under par about this high-flying hole-in one album. Yes, they've sometimes been compared to another well-known Symphonic Prog band, but Albatross have spread their wings and developed a unique, sensational style all of their own. Smile

The distant Andromeda galaxy is 2 million light years distant from Earth and is said to be one of our galactic "neighbours", although you wouldn't want to pop around there to borrow a cup of sugar.
