I don't mean to start a Civil War, but if you Use Your Illusions we can avoid a Spaghetti Incident and vote for bands that don't involve Axl, Slash and company, but instead bands from our beloved genre of Prog.  This poll is shooting from the hip and going for the roses.  Give 'em a listen and let us know what you think.  A fairly eclectic batch of bands, not quite as well known as the first GNR poll, but some still many are fairly well known, I think.  Vote for your three favorites and let us know what you like and what you don't.  Included is a link to a YouTube playlist, as well as below are YouTube videos for all of the songs.  Hopefully this poll brings you to Paradise City.

Coheed and Cambria, Karda Estra (new to me), and Belew (Bowie wrote that song). Fish is good also.

I think that this batch had a more traditional prog feel.  A lot of Neo, Crossover, and Symph bands included.  Only a couple of avant and jazz type bands were included in this group, so maybe not as eclectic as some of my other polls.  My three favorites are probably Fish, Magenta, and RPWL w/the Adrian Belew/David Bowie up there too.

Elton John...'Ballad' and 'Tumblweed' is a great rock 'concept' lp,   then White Willow, Magenta, Pavlov's Dog....
both of the Pavlov lp's are interesting imo but Surkamp's voice can be an acquired taste like Geddy Lee. Stern Smile

Surkamp does remind me of Geddy.
