A tremendous discovery for me, this is what Dead Can Dance are! Which is your favorite album by them? I usually go for 'Spleen and Ideal' but just today I am giving it to their third.

It's one of those rare occasions when I've heard all the albums in a poll. My neighbours liked the Anastasis album too when I played it outside in the garden last summer, even though they didn't know what it was. They asked me what the "Greek" music was.

Spleen and Ideal, Within the Realm of a Dying Sun and The Serpent's Egg are on par for me, and better than anything that followed, imo. Since I've only one vote, I'll give it to the Egg...

I love all of these albums
Their two best studio releases, for my money at least, are Spleen & Ideal + Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun. Seeing as the former is without votes, I threw some love it’s way....but yeah not a bum record in sight. Another fave of mine is the live recording Toward The Within. They’re in great form and the whole production behind is just stellar. Truly one of the best sounding live albums out there imho. |

And with all these comments, 'Aion' has the most votes so far? Sometimes PA can be a mysterious place.

My neighbour also told me recently that Genesis are his favourite band, so it's good to have proggy neighbours who appreciate good music.

I did the same poll about half a year ago. Their quality is pretty reliable, I could vote for at least four (Dying Sun through to Into the Labyrinth) - The Serpent's Egg wins it today.

I think they peaked with Aion and Labyrinth...slight edge to the latter
