I was just a 20th Century Boy way back in 1970 at the age of 10/11 in the year that gave birth to the Glam Rock era. It was a year when long-haired musicians were prettied up with heavy mascara, platform shoes and tinsel & glitter, and that was just the men. The ten favourite obscure prog albums listed below completely passed me by at the time of release, but thanks to ProgArchives and the Internet, I'm making up for a misspent musical youth now. Smile

Armageddon - Armageddon
Audience - Friend's Friend's Friend
Bachdenkel - Lemmings
Cressida - Cressida
Fairfield Parlour - From Home to Home
Marsupilami - Marsupilami
May Blitz - May Blitz
Rare Bird - As Your Mind Flies By
Titus Groan - Titus Groan
The Web - I Spider

Chicago - Chicago II
Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys
Jethro Tull - Benefit
King Crimson - Lizard
The Groundhogs - Thank Christ for the Bomb
Procol Harum - Home
Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die
The Moody Blues - A Question of Balance
Santana - Abraxas
ELP - Emerson, Lake & Palmer

...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

I prefer Sean Trane's list to mine, seeing as he has three times as many great albums on his list, any of which could have featured on my list too. Smile

G'day mates! I was caught on the hop by seeing Marsupilami's excellent album included on a couple of lists, because I somehow skipped it from my original list, so I've jumped right in and added it belatedly. Smile
