While many of the albums they released after this have devoted followings, it's their first five releases that are unquestionably their "glory" era. Which of these five is your favorite? If you check their discography page, they are all very closely ranked.

For myself, it's the album that introduced me to the band: Worlds Apart. It's perfectly written, perfectly performed, perfectly produced, and I've never grown tired of it after almost 40 years!

I could give my vote to any of the first 4, but gave it to their debut.

Heads or Tales was underwhelming for me, a disappointment i dare say.

Ian Crichton is the most underrated and overlooked guitarist in rock. Their I said it and I mean it.

Silent Knight, which is bookended by the two songs that define Saga for me: "Don't Be Late" and "Careful Where You Step."

Those glorious Moogs!

Heads or Tales is actually my second favorite Saga album. It's certainly different from the first 4, with the high-tech production, but this album is so visceral, intense, and relentlessly impassioned (not to mention weird) that I can't help but love it from first song to last! Whenever I feel a need to "turn it up to 11", I reach for Heads or Tales.

One of the most underrated guitar solos ever is Ian's at the end of "Tired World (Chapter Six)". It still amazes me after all these years, and that was from their FIRST album when they were complete unknowns!

I always liked them. They have a quite unique sound even though it's hard to nail down what makes them special. Crichton is great, as are the vocals, but their also a very tight unit. First four are really neck to neck but I'd stick to the first one. Generation 13 is great, too.

I'm following the results of this poll. The only one I know is "worlds apart."

Worlds Apart, an album that I have given many spins through the years. My first introduction to Saga was In Transit, a live album with good songs that sound thin and bland compared to the studio versions.

My favourite Saga songs are No Stranger and No Regrets.

Saga have always underwhelmed me with their albums as a whole, and pleased me greatly with individual songs.  To me, "Silent Knight" has the most good songs.  "Careful where you step" is phenomenal
