Xfears for Progressive Metal

XFEARS is a Brazilian Progressive Metal band formed in 2002 by Gabriel Carvalho (Vocals/Keyboards), Marcelo Monteiro (Guitars) and Gilmar Cazagrande (Guitars). The band stopped its activities in 2004 and after 13 years, in 2017 launched the single ‘Changes’. 

In 2020, XFEARS invited the new drummer Douglas Polents and bass player Ricardo Roque to restart the Project of the band and to produce a professional material in a way to reach fans of the style, globally.

XFEARS has the goal to produce new Prog Metal music for the fans of this style and wants to share its songs all over the world. In 2020 the band released 2 new singles, Reason to Stay and Fix it All, the last one reached a great number of listeners that boosted the band to create more songs and a full-length album. In 2021 the band released 2 new singles, a tribute to Nevermore with the song Believe in nothing and Hell is Here, the most know song of the band. The debut album THE FIRST, was launched in 2021.

The main purpose of the band, is to deliver good music for everyone, trying to make the world a bit better and enjoyable. The band with its five members, deliver songs filled with great harmonies and keyboards textures, but not letting aside the heavy guitars, basses and drums, followed by lyrics related to daily subjects, fears, thoughts, and life-based poetry.

XFEARS is kept with passion and enthusiasm, the band stands for the love of music and for the love of Metal! In a world where music is so predictable, XFEARS put the members’ hearts through the songs, delivering a real message for the audience.
