I thought it might be interesting to compare an epic length track from a big name in Prog band's album from the past decade with a big name from the 70s for its classic album.

Both albums, have many ratings with a high average rating: 4.42 | 2291 ratings for Pawns Hearts (1971) and 4.23 | 1324 ratings for Road of Bones (2014) --  a lot to gain in just seven years, and methinks  a lot of those came soon after release (was even being rated quite a bit before the official release as I recall).

For any that might not know both:

Here is  "A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers"

Here is "Without Walls"

It was interesting for me to listen to "Without Walls" and compare these two, but I love "A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers" (and VdGG generally).

I'll vote for IQ only because I don't want to see them get NIL votes!

Plague, hands down. A pinnacle of progressive rock, released before the arguably golden era/peak of said style, and they were already mastering it!

Both are favorite tracks by favorite bands of mine.
I'm guitarist and songwriter for the prog-related band Mother Bass. Find us at http://www.motherbass.com. I also enter stages throughout the Netherlands performing my poetry.

Van der Graaf Generator - A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers. It's a true pinnacle piece in the prog rock history.

VDGG. I know IQ are a great bad, and they are great musicians, but for some reason, I cannot get into their music.

Logan foresaw what I would say, I think.
IQ make music I love. VDGG don't.

Ok so I enjoyed IQ more than I thought I would. I've only ever given them one chance, and that was probably their debut. And decided it wasn't for me. It still isn't, but if I was younger and had discovered this, more retro than neo-sounding incarnation of IQ, before classic Genesis and Yes - I'm certain I would have loved it.

I do like both tracks, but I'm never going to vote against the track that has my username.
