Signals by far, no contest. One of my favorite Rush albums.
Asia's debut is good, but I like a few Payne era albums much more.

RRRRRUUUUSSSSHHHH (of course).
Though Asia's debut spent a lot of time on the turntable.

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |

Oh gosh, I like both very much. In the 80s I listened more to that Asia album than to Signals, but nowadays it is more often that I listen to Signals than to Asia... Still like the latter, though. Hmm, I'll go for both... BTW, you're cruel! Edited by suitkees - November 05 2021 at 12:12 |

Signals is good, and I cannot listen to anything by Asia without getting annoyed. Easy choice for me.

DM(Digital Man) is my user name on another website . I think sometimes he forgets where he is. Anyway, no I'm not cruel and no it's not a joke. I know there's a lot of people on here who don't like Rush and while some don't like Asia maybe they would vote for it because of who was in that band.

was that ever a reason to vote for a band? If I enjoy the music, it does not matter who is in the band. It can be the local band or it can be the super-duper famous band. It's a nice poll, no worries.

^ I like your poll, but it is a bit ambiguous (to me): if I were in 1982, I would probably have voted Asia, but today I tend more to Rush/Signals. I like both albums though, still today... |

I like Asia's debut though.

Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

Which ones? Just curious. I haven't heard any and am wondering which ones might be the best or best places to start with that era or iteration of the band.

Aqua, Aria and Aura especially. Aura has Guthrie Govan on guitar. (and Howe guesting on a couple of songs) Aqua has Al Pitrelli on guitar, Howe does some acoustic parts. Aria is also with Al Pitrelli.

sadly another two bands I don’t care for so a neither for me. Growing up in the 70’s Rush just sounded metal to me and likewise in the 80’s Asia far too AOR
