Part 1 of 4 with live albums included. I would've posted this poll in the Prog Related Lounge, until I realised there's no option to post polls in there.

Just like (almost) everyone else I love all of their six first albums about equally, but voted for: Master of Reality. A perfect half an hour of timeless classic rock that feels fresh - and none of the tracks are overplayed to death. -their self titled debut and Sabotage probably follows next.

I knew this poll was coming, and that it would be an extreme agony for me to decide between my two favorite Black Sabbath albums...
I love all of the original lineup Sabbath albums so very much. But, my top two have pretty much always been Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage. Can I vote "tie" between those two? No? Okay, if forced, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by the merest of margins. |

Definitely Paranoid, even I'm very fond of Master.. and Vol. 4, as well.

I love all the studio albums from "Black Sabbath" to "Never Say Die". However, "Technical Ecstasy" is extra special to me for nostalgic reasons, and gets my vote.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Technical Ecstasy, just over Sabotage. It could go either way, thanks to "The Writ" and "All Moving Parts (Stand Still)."
All those votes for Paranoid...listen to more Sabbath, people!

Master of Reality > Paranoid > Vol. 4 > Sabbath Bloody Sabbath > Black Sabbath
Sabotage has their best song "Symptom of the Universe" on it, but I don't care for the rest of the album ("Hole in the Sky" is ok too, I guess).

I couldn't decide which of the first six studio albums to vote for either, so I went for Live at Hammersmith Odeon instead.

Tough to pick between "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and "Masters of Reality" but I've gone for "Sabbath..." if only for the input of Rick Wakeman.
