None of these are very great; I think I'll be the first to vote for Gentle Giant here

I used to think Dust and Dreams was average, but having listened to it more, I think it's a superb album.
But Heavy Horses is one of Tull's strongest and also excellent. However, IQ produced such a titanic album in The Road of Bones that it has to be my choice.

It's difficult to vote against the album that has the most outstanding song on it.

I thought I would vote for The Wall, but I went for The Rode of Bones instead.

Genesis, Rush, and Yes are all duking it out here for me (and I do have love for The Wall as well, but it's not really personal to me). Abacab kinda peters out towards the end, so that's off. 90125 also is a bit frontloaded, though I like the closing material here more than I do on Abacab. Power Windows is incredibly consistent. All the songs are roughly the same very high standard of quality (except Marathon, which has top 20 Rush songs potential). Rush for the win!

Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

Still some good albums here by Yes, VdGG, Magma, IQ and Camel. I choose 90125.

nice to see a Neo Prog band beating off some heavy weight competition. Not my favourite IQ album but nevertheless a goodie.

So Paul, I assume we'll be getting a final poll somewhere down the line, pitching the winning albums from all these polls against each other?

I think IQ's performances as the polls have gone on, show what a fantastic and consistent band they have become😎 |
