I've been listening to this incredible band for many years and recently realized there are no documentaries on their story in English, so of course I went ahead and filled that gap and I hope I paid them the respect the deserve.

While researching this video I realized there is a ton more prog rock from Quebec but it seemed Harmonium had risen to the top. Does anyone here know anything about Beau Dommage, Les Seguin, or any other French Canadian Prog that you could recommend to me? Not sure where to start next!!

My favorite album by these guys is their second, but I can imagine most proggers prefer "L'heptade," I'd love to hear your opinion and I'd really appreciate your thoughts on my video!! Thanks guys!

Harmonium's second album "Les Cinq Saisons" is my favorite progressive folk album from Quebec.
Few others that I would recommend that are in similar style to Harmonium:
Breche - Carapace et chair tendre (1979)
Charles Kaczynski - Lumiere de la Nuit (1978)
Conventum - A l'Affut d'un Complot (1977)
Conventum - Le Bureau Central des Utopies (1979)
L'Engoulevent - L'Ile ou Vivent Les Loups (1977)

More complex, symphonic/eclectic rock from Quebec:
Et Cetera - Et Cetera (1976)
Morse Code - Le Marche des Hommes (1975) 
Morse Code - Procreation (1976)

Couple jazz-rock/fusion albums from Quebec
Opus 5 - Contre-courant (1976)
Sloche - J'Un Oeil (1975)
Sloche - Stadacone (1976)

My favorite band from Quebec, progressive rock with neo-classical, chamber rock influences:
Maneige - Les Porches (1975)  
Maneige - Ni Vent... Ni Nouvellle (1977)

Sloche and Et Cetera are great. Rouge Ciel's "Veuillez Procéder" is another prog gem from Quebec that I can recommend.

Yes, I completely forgot about Maelstrom. Top of progressive rock from Quebec. Lesser known band because their only album recorded in 1976 hasn't been released until 2016 (on ProgQuebec label).

You should check out Octobre

They are really well-known in Québec, but not so much outside. I rank them as high as Harmonium in terms of quality and accessible prog rock. Their lead-singer Pierre Flynn has an amazing voice. He went on to have a successful solo career in Québec after Octobre dissolved in the 1980s, although more in the pop-rock style, but still very enjoyable.
