I'm borrowing the idea and I'm curious to see how the votes will go here. I believe it's not gonna be one-sided and both will get their votes (and appreciation).

This is probably the closest First and Last poll so far, but I'm going to give A Nod and a Wink towards Camel's outstanding debut album.

I’ll be surprised if Nod gets (m)any votes. Not because it’s not good, because I think it’s one of their best latter-day albums - but because the debut is simply so good. It’s second only to “Mirage” in my affections. Those first two Camel albums are simply superb.

A Nod and a Wink.
The debut is very good, but raw. A Nod and a Wink is a much more refined and varied, made by a band that knows it has nothing left to prove. And For Today is possibly the best thing they ever did.

For these "first and last" polls, this one is the closest one for me. Went with A Nod and a Wink by a narrow margin.

Interesting one. I find the songs on the debut more memorable. A Nod and a Wink is a very nice album to listen to and the debut is not flawless, but its youthful spirit wins this.

A Nod and a Wink, I can listen to it without skipping. That's not the case with the debut.

Giving the nod to Nod. Neither is a particular favorite, both near the middle of the pack IMO, and pretty even in quality.
