It's my Hypothesis that Steve Hackett has enough Momentum to win this poll with some Guitar Noir - and None Too Soon too - but it's a Long Walk Home if I get it wrong again.

There's a number of very strong entries here by Kate Bush, Peter Hammill, Mike Oldfield, Klaus Schulze, and David Bowie, and it's hard to find a winner. The Mike Oldfield album is apparently not in high esteem here, hardly mentioned and rated 2.71, and I'll vote for it to express my appreciation, as I think that Kate Bush (who'd otherwise probably top the field) has had enough votes of mine and I'm sure some others will honor that album.

Hackett. This is one of his best, and a re-shape of his sound after a string of weaker efforts.

Guitar Noir represents my return to Prog after years wallowing in the mainstream and got my vote. Station to Station has always been one of my favorite Bowie albums. El Becko's album Jeff is also very cool.
