Hi,

It would ... if I could afford it but this time, I have to pass! Stuff like this hurts. I wish that they would have some compassion for folks that don't have the money, and have been with the band for more than 50 years. But I doubt they give a poop anymore. It's about the money!

Typical ... it's becoming music for the rich, by the rich with the rich ... as it was for hundreds of years!

All I know is that I have read the entire Commedia and that it is one of the greatest literary achievements ever. I don't remember much of Paradiso except that it was the most beautiful thing I have ever read.

Hi,

I'm in the process of trying to find a good translation to read it all again. I don't really remember a lot of it anymore, and have "lived" with a couple of the albums for a long time, but it was as if I remembered something or other, which I could not identify.

But all in all, as I mentioned, I am saddened by the classless effort to create something that many folks can not afford, and in most cases, will NEVER HEAR.

For a band that gave you EVERTHING it ever found ... all of a sudden, this beauty of the idea and theme is gone for me. I can relate to the commercial side of it, and the need to put food on the table, but the difference between a hamburger or steak is massive, and I think they have stopped appreciating a tramp trying to eat a shoe, because he had nothing else to eat.

I think this is a goodbye to TD for me. It meant a lot to my heart and mind for many years, but it has sadly gone forever like everything else ... let the old man die ... for his heart can not longer sustain ... the life of an idea ... that survived so long ... sometimes without a justification ... but always with a feeling ... that meant something ... when words and literature ... meant something more ... than just a like and dislike ... a lot more than just a kiss in the wind ... frozen lips in time ... when we felt something ... which was whisked away ... in a mysteriously slow ... movie ... like the wind ... where it blows ... we will never know ... or give a sh*t anyway ... but one thing is true ... forever ... we lived it ... and we can remember it ... and at this time ... something like TD ... is no longer there ... bless the wind ... bless the nature ... bless the heart.

My love has gone away, as an old song said ... sadly! And at least one woman could careless anyway!

^ How can a music release of any kind or price provoke such a lapse of bitterness, is beyond me.

interestingly, on Monday during SPACE PIRATE RADIO's broadcast, it was Dante Alighieri's 757th birthday (1265).

moshkito, this is a box set of previously released music. If you have the albums, you don't need it. It's a very affordably priced box (and it comes with a book).

Hi,

I don't consider a goodbye poem, bitterness. It was a "visual" in the midst of the posting, and I don't have any real bitterness, other than the thought that I am not able to purchase something I would love to have ... but there are hundreds of other books and albums out there in the same way.

As I said ... a frozen kiss ... think of it as a movie ... and the moment passes you by and its gone. There is no right or wrong in it being gone ... IT SIMPLY IS GONE. Why do we have to classify things as right or wrong is beyond me, specially when they really aren't wrong ... it is what it is ... you don't sit here and say ... sad, when you see an animal in the wild attack and kill another ... it's life, and we're in it, that's all.

We seem to think that too many things are "above life", and that's a false assumption and idealistic stuff that only removes you from your center ever more!
