Recording studios - oases of silence and attention in the midst of a noisy and mistreated world besieged by deadly coughs - are a gem as precious as they are expensive. But not everything comes down to them. Much of prog has happened in live sessions; prog's experimental essence, often undervalued or flatly disregarded, is conducive to this. Nevertheless, there is something exalting about attending live recordings: one deals with dirt, discomfort, but also with an uncontrolled radiance that manages to creep in. Here a little live journey, this time not around the world but towards its end, where the parallels meet. Please, enjoy this selection of focused music.
