I've listened to them, in some cases (Octavarium) many times. I don't feel that any of them deserve a positive response, so "none of these" IS an option. It's my prerogative to abstain, and if you don't like it, that's tough.
I find your last sentence so ridiculous, I think it makes you look a fool, to be honest.

DT Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence is also noteworthy.

I think you should give the Scardust embed a shot. It's like The Odyssey, but not "gallopy." It also utilizes live instrumentation.

I'm really not a Dream Theater fan. In fact, I quite dislike pretty much the rest of their discography, except their instrumentals - I really dislike Labrie's vocals is probably half of it. I just like this one song by them is all. And even on Octavarium his vocals can become quite grating for me at times. The Count of Tuscany and and Metropolis Pt. 1 are really the only other epics from them I more or less like. I'll look at SDoIT though...

Edit: I tried out SDoIT, kind of. I do not like Dream Theatre full-lengths, some of their singles are okay, though. This one is just a bit bland for me. I lost attention after a few minutes. Not for me.

And your second choice? Big smile

I'll do an about turn and change my original vote, having just listened to the Nightwish epic...

1. Nightwish - The Greatest Show on Earth
2. Dream Theater - Octavarium

You can literally vote for two, though. If you casted your vote on Octavarium, then just vote again, on TGSoE.

I think you should look at Scardust's Sands of Time. It's similar to V-era Symphony X (and The Odyssey), but without the power metal.

Thanks. I've now added my vote to Nightwish too. It's a great poll by the way, even if it's not The Greatest Poll on Earth. Wink

Vote for Pelican - March Into the Sea, here.

I guess just thank this comment to do so.

See Topic "Edit" for context.

I give them my vote :)
