Said it before and will say it again...
Janison Edge: The Services Of Mary Goode (for neo fans who like sumptuous female vocals and swirly keys)

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I struggled to think of any Davy O'List - Second Thoughts John Hackett & Nick Fletcher - Beyond The Stars Sergio Alvarez - Escenas De Ficcion none of those are particularly exciting though Tin Spirits ( a band including Dave Gregory of BBT) have a couple of albums . The debut has 10 ratings but by far the best is Scorch which has 12 ratings. That is an absolute gem so I didn't want to not mention it! Tangerine Dream - Pilots Of Purple Twilight (The Virgin Recordings 1980-1983) has only 7 ratings but is my favourite era this group. |

Rich, knowing we have fairly similar tastes, where would you suggest I start with IO Earth?

Afasia - "Nelle Vesti Del Mio Ego" ...one review
Outstanding combo of classic Italian prog influenced by Dream Theater type metal. Concept album doubles as extended metaphor.

Thanks To Jared for mentioning Janison Edge.......Magenta ( Element sounds like Booth to me which is fine), IQ, Marillion, and even Phideaux imho all rolled into one.
Sadly I don't have any 'less than 10 reviews' bands to mention ....
