One month ago today, Psychedelic Paul and I posted our polls for 1999. Only ten albums received the minimum of three votes that I've required for access to these "finals." (There were 55 and 40 total votes cast per the two polls, respectively). Stupid Dream and Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory pretty much ran away with it the first time. Who will emerge triumphant this time?

Several candidates for my vote here, all very good, none outstanding. It's between Sigur Ros, Anekdoten, and Porcupine Tree. Vote goes rather randomly to Anekdoten.

Camel by a fair margin over Steve Hackett with the rest nowhere.
