By "Little Masterpieces", I mean relatively short (for prog), (mostly) instrumental pieces that seem to punch well above their weight. The list below is in no particular order: Sebastian Hardie - Windchase - Hello Phimistar Manfred Mann's Earth Band - The Roaring Silence - Waiter, There's a Yawn in My Ear Rush - Moving Pictures - YYZ Genesis - Wind & Wuthering - ...In That Quiet Earth Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Tarkus - Infinite Space (Conclusion) Hawkwind - Warrior on the Edge of Time - Opa Loka There are others that I could include, but the above will do for now. Do you have any other examples to add to the list? |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Nice idea. I just went for the first ones popped into my mind. + Forgot about the instrumental bit, while thinking.

I'm sure I could think of many more given enough time but this is the first thing I thought of when reading the OP:

Nice! Great pieces of music so far. Not necessarily "punching above their weight", but I like them... Saga - Conversations: Steve Hackett - Please Don't Touch: Eloy - Mirador: Alquin - Soft Royce: |

An epic you could make a full length (weird and unsettling) art house film of - in just four minutes and seventeen seconds. A complete little masterpiece: |

Nice list. I think I know all of these. I'm glad to see some Pavlov's Dog on there too. Not everyone seems to be familiar with them.
