^^ I think Pedro means they're missing from Greg's initial list, not PA.

They were quite well known and respected around these parts... indeed, they are still going and toured recently.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Oh well ... I guess it is impossible to list everyone ...

Missing, in my book, is one that deserves to be there ... MAN, the Welsh band with Mickie and Deke ... just a good listen to Mickie yodeling with that choir in one album ... beats more than a bunch of stuff here ...

I guess Deke's book "Man on the Road to Nowhere" ... applies here ... it's a great book, despite it being so sad. "C'mon" will continue to be forgotten and not appreciated is my over reacted thought!

"What a piece of work is Man" (Hamlet).

Nor would I wish to try to list every one sin this poll of 25 if it were possible because these, as I made clear, are some of MY favourites. My list of 75 in the opening post also is but some of my favourites. Maybe Man (or MAN) deserves more of my listening. I have encouraged people to mention what they like that is both in the poll and out of the poll. And I don't treat these as contests, and commonly prefer not to think in such terms, so for me it's not about beating anyone (well, beating some dead horses perhaps). I also have encouraged people in this series to mention what they don't like. As I think I have made clear, I like specifics, so please do tell me what you know well and would remove from the list to make way for Man. To each his or her tastes, but it seems rather uncouth to tell someone what is better than what that person likes. I can't think of any of these polls where you did mention liking anything in the poll so if I didn't know better, I might assume that you like nothing of my interests. Consider making your one polls of your personal favourites (covering one that I have not) as I expect your interests would "beat' my interests time and time again, or at least from your perspective.

Commonly, if people know things off a list, yet no cares to mention anything specific on it, then I am less inclined to seriously consider and appreciate their mentions. A little appreciation, tact, and consideration all around can go a long way (I know I can be lacking there).

The neurodivergent's jokes can be the bane of the normie. Putting oneself down, self-deprecation, is part of the culture that I grew up in. When overdone it can seem like or be a pathetic cry for affirmation and attention. "No, Greg, you're funny even when you don't make mess up." There's some self-affirmation.   PA can seem like quite a sadistic place sometimes, but this erstwhile masochist can enjoy that.

there have been occasional days when the metaphorical clouds of despair part, the sunshine of optimism radiates and even I can experience fleeting delusions of adequacy... Embarrassed

^ Yeah, I hate those days, think I had two of them, they just make me feel even worse the rest of the time.

I'll give votes to three that currently have no votes: Message, Juana Molina and Melody's Echo Chamber.

Five of my Favourites of those are:

Messenger
Mercury Rev
My Solid Ground (surprised I missed that)
Mellow Candle
Mr. Sirius

A fun idea for a series might be, ask people to try to choose five from PA's top 50 or top 100 for each letter.
