Keep waiting and praying. It won't happen. ![]() You going to go ahead and get around to playing ME2 ever? Come on, there's a whole universe of disappointment waiting! ![]() |

I will do. I'm hoping all these people giving away their copies of Mass Effect 3 will give me one.
![]() I have no issues whatsoever playing any of the series. I've seen the endings and I know most of what happens in the game. It doesn't bother me whatsoever. The BioWare community as a whole is ridiculous. I understand they appreciate the series and hate the endings but they're so up themselves in demanding a new ending. Even the news announced today (or yesterday) has riled people. They're getting clarification... nobody knows how it'll turn out yet but they're not even willing to find out. Plus it's free. Fickle fans. If the clarification is really unsatisfactory, then I can perhaps understand their perspective more but until then, they really should wait and see instead of getting upset and wanting the BioWare staff sacked. I never wish that on them. If anything, it's EA's fault, not BioWare's. Edit: oh and if you somehow have some inside knowledge (which I don't think you do), then you cannot really say one way or the other whether I'll be disappointed. I'm not fussed either way. I'd personally like the IT to be true as it makes sense. If not, then I'm confident whatever they do produce will make it all come together somehow. Even then, I won't be annoyed as I like the endings as they are. Edited by VanderGraafKommandöh - April 06 2012 at 03:26 |

Get on with playing the games. I thought it was just kinda dumb before I got there. Then the floodgates opened and I realized why it was so hated. If you want a very long video which does a decent job of explaining how the ending goes so wrong, here's a link. That's not all of it, of course, but it's a start. I could pile on more if you want it. |

No need. I've seen most ending videos already.
Indoctrination Theory is the only real thing BioWare could do to rescue it. |

@The people talking about FO3 + NV. It seems like the bugginess of the games varies wildly depending on the player. FO3 crashes constantly for me and I have no idea how to fix it. NV is much more stable for me. As far as which is superior, I'd have to say it also depends on the person. FO3 has more exploration and is darker, whereas NV is better written, but more linear and kind of sillier (though in the distinctly dark Fallout way). Incidentally, does anyone else here love GoG? I recently got Fallout 1 from them (and then five days later they gave it away for free :/) and it's quite good, although different from the latest two.

Also, recently torrented this and have been playing a lot. Reeeeally really excellent. Fans of Bioshock ought to enjoy as it's super similar but deeper (and creepier, imo. Bioshock was great at atmosphere in general, but the only parts that I found legitimately creepy were the beginning sections and Fort Frolic, and I'm quite a wimp).
![]() And I know, torrenting bad etc, but SS2 is really hard to find anywhere for less than 200 bucks and doesn't seem like it'll be rereleased anytime soon (it's owned by an insurance firm or something), so I figured it was fair ground. Edited by Gazoinks - April 10 2012 at 21:48 |

I'll be buying New Vegas: Ultimate Edition, even though the guy in the shop actually took a shot at me for choosing that over Skyrim. Apparently it means I'm old school. I probably am old school, I've been down with the Fallout series since it originally dropped back in '97 and Fallout 3 didn't let me down so I'm not bailing now.
Incidentally, Fallout fans may be interested to know that the original 1997 Fallout game was intended as a remake/sequel to the 1988 RPG Wasteland, but due to copyright issues that angle was abandoned and Fallout was reworked as a new franchise. If you know how to emulate, I urge you to d/l and play Wasteland. Look out for the comedy sex change operation.

Did indeed know that. Did you know there's a Kickstarter to make Wasteland 2?

Did you know, there IS a Wasteland 2. It was called Fountain Of Dreams and it was significantly worse than the original, hence its obscure status. There was also an abandoned third game called Meantime that was about 75% complete before it got dumped.
I won't donate money to fund games though, I find that aborrhent when there are so many needy charities out there. And yes I do give to them, thank you. I would certainly try Wasteland 2 when/if it gets completed. Speaking of post apocalyptic games I'd love to see remade with modern bells and whistles, the brilliant ASCII RPG classic, Alphaman. That would be so f**king awesome with actual graphics and sound.

So, anyone else hear about the whole EA-anti-gay-letter thing? Well, there's some doubt as to whether it even happened now that someone was caught botting the petition.
http://i.imgur.com/WKcB2.jpg Article on it: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2012/04/star-wars-the-old-republic-poll-attacked-by-hackers-temporarily-shut-down/ Of course, without someone blowing the whistle, we'll never truly know who was responsible, but it sure is suspicious. Maybe it would be a little less suspicious if EA hadn't pulled this kind of sh*t before with fake protestors and so on. Well, and if it hadn't happened right after they won Consumerist's annual Worst Company in America competition. Actually, the fact that anyone honestly thinks EA might be at the bottom of this says enough about why they won WCIA in the first place... |

Them winning that was ridiculous. I know EA are criticised heavily (and rightly so in many ways) but there are so many worse companies than them that are harming the populous.
I haven't come across this before. I'll read up on it. By the way, is KotR generally getting good reviews? I'm not a multiplayer/MMO kind of guy, so I doubt I'll ever play but was just curious. There's lots of people still moaning about ME3 and DA2 yet they never mention KotR. And I'm fairly sure I've played Wasteland. I don't remember enjoying it that much. Edit: I'm getting Wasteland confused with a different game; so no, I haven't played it yet, which surprises me This made me laugh: ![]() Edited by VanderGraafKommandöh - April 11 2012 at 02:45 |

I just pre-ordered The Legend of Grimrock.
It will be released today, but you still have about two hours to pre-order it for $11.99 (regular price is $14.99). You also get extras (map, soundtrack) for pre-ordering. We'll see how it is today! |

Any Half Life fans on here? I love those games, probably my favourite game series along with The Elder Scrolls.
Where's Half Life 3?! |

Dark/Demon Souls are awful awful games that people convince themselves into liking because they worry that not liking them means they're not one of the cool kids.
