Hello, everyone.  My name is Brett, I'm 16, and I'm a composer.  I'm currently writing my first album.  I have no release date set, because I don't know when I'm getting my new computer, but that's okay.  I should take my time writing it.  If you wanna listen to some of the stuff I've written, you can check out my myspace.  I just used the add link function, but I don't know if it worked, so I'm just going to write the address in here.

So yeah.  My favorite progressive bands are Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, Yes, and then I like all kinds of other bands.  Those are just my main ones.  I'd spend a long time trying to name them all off. :D

Well, I must say, I was really surprised when I found this website.  Finally a place where I can talk about progressive rock and not have people look at me funny, and where I can talk about Yes and not have people say 'Yes is no', and where I can talk about some new song I just wrote and people won't reply with "Is that one of your 50 hour long songs?!?!" It's so obnoxious. >.> But this is awesome.  I've already discovered like 7 new bands since I came here, and I've only been here for a day, and after reading so many reviews about Tales From Topographic Oceans, I've realized there's a lot I missed in the times I've listened to that album.  I hope to engage in many insightful discussions about prog in my time here. :D

And so, once again, hello everyone. :D

How awesome. A place where I can talk about progressive rock and not hear "IS THIS ONE OF YOUR 50 HOUR LONG SONGS?!?!" I salute you. :D

Cheers man, you've come to the right place!
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
