Greetings all!

And so, I'm finally a member of this forum-thingy!

I've been visiting ProgArchives for almost two years now, picking up good recommendations along the way. If not for this site, I would never even have heard of gems such as Close to the Edge, Pawn HeartsFoxtrot or Ommadawn, which are now in heavy rotation in my CD player. Many thanks to all the people on this forum who have unknowingly expanded my musical tastes for the better!

I got into Prog Rock through Dream Theater (like many other young fans I suspect), and for half a year or so, it was basically all I listened to. I had never heard anything like it before. One day, looking for some info on the band, I stumbled upon this site. At the time, I didn't even know that Prog Rock existed in the 70's or that Genesis was considered one of the finest examples of the genre (*hangs head in shame*).  I downloaded some of the mp3's of Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant etc, loved it to bits, and the rest is history.

Looking forward to sharing thoughts with all of you on this lovely genre of ours!

Anders

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
