 Topic: Most prog Beatles song

Although not really progressive, The Beatles recorded some songs that could be included in the style. But certainly in your opinion one will be always more prog than the others.
My vote goes to Happiness is a warm gun.

GS/CTW/TE that suite is phenomenal. The highlight of the proggiest album they made Abbey Road. A Day In The Life was a close second with Eleranor Rigby third!
But this was a tough selection!

I kept changing my mind between A Day In The Life and Happiness Is A Warm Gun, eventually voting for the former ...
but you know what? Revolution #9 could qualify as a major influence on
the more dissosant. jarring RIO/avant-garde style of music ...

1. BFTBOMK - very underrated in the prog world, IMO. It's by no means my favourite, but the number of styles it passes through, and the layers of different music make this almost the definitive proto-prog rock song, IMO.
2. ADITL. Say no more.
3. GS/CTW/TE - but I'm very keen on the suite that preceeds it too!
4. Eleanor Rigby - TMK might have a progressive/experimental edge with the backwards tapes, but it doesn't go anywhere particularly.
5. Strawberry Fields.

There is a case for Strawberry Fields (2 different versions in different keys at different speeds joined together!) and Happiness Is A Warm Gun (God knows how many time signature changes) but I would go for the forgotten Tomorrow Never Knows - mixed live in the studio by people standing at various tape machines dotted around Abbey Road, armed with various bizarre tape loops wrapped around pencils!

My God...
I thought that HIAWG should receive only one vote (mine) but for my pleasure more people here think like me 
Some friends here in Brazil that are prog and Beatles fans always forget this song preferring 'Eleanor' or ADITL.
And I agree that 'Mr. Kyte' is underrated... it should be my second choice from the list 
I'm still upset for forgetting 'Tomorrow never knows'. What a song!

For me Golden Slumbers etc. Actually I see the whole of side 2 from Abbey Road as one track, a sort of multi-movement suite.
