I listen to Prog like The Mars Volta and Pink Floyd, ing Crimson etc. More recently Gentle Giant and Harmonium.

I love all those bands ... have all TMV, PF and KC albums and a fair amount of Gentle Giant ... have just been really getting into Harmonium in the last few weeks ... I have the flute melody of Histoires Sans Paroles in my head right now!

Or both. A thorough grounding in Van Der Graaf Generator is also essential.
