    I have been been in a period of celibacy for well over three years now (yes.. by choice. ). I have decided that I could start dating again, but the type of woman I would want to be with now seems pretty scarce.

I'm really not in a rush to get in any relationships now to be honest.  Relationships at my age are many times as meaningful as VelvetClown's posts.  Most girls in my grade I'm not interested in persoanlity-wise and the few that really do interest me either have boyfriends or I don't have the balls to ask them out (usually the latter though Ouch)

Sadly I"m not very lucky with the ladies. I do try though! I just live life and have various female friends who do mean a lot to me, but no luck with physical relations.

No problems at all; in fact, I'm in troubles with the girlfriend right now because of a couple good lady friends that, from her point of view, are too "friendly". I hope shes wrong though; that would be a bit embarrasing. It is not difficult to find real love; you just have to be honest with yourself in terms of what you are looking for, know for sure what is important and what is shallow, be a gentlemen (not kidding) and love yourself (in a healthy way that is). Other tips: think about girls as human beings, not stereotypes; be respectfull, but truly respectfull of their individuality, take the time to know her, etc. I know this for truth, since I'm bald, tiny, a bit fat (but I love food, and one day I'm going to day, and I don't want to think something like "I should have tried that chocolate; now I'm goig to die and I'm not happy"), and I always had good relations with the opposite sex. I think I met great people, clever, creative, interesting people; and then I met Mercedes, she is the best companion I'll ever know. I love her. But it took me 3 years to convince her about the benefis of having her own writter/storyteller/melomaniac/rare bird.
