I was at a garage sale earlier this day and i got a recorded cassete and some one wrote on the label , "il paese dei baccoli" the woman didnt know anything about the tape and she gave it to me free, i was looking for some more about that posible band but i havent found anything...

Im i misspelling the name, does it exist, is it the album´s name???... can anyone help me out to find some more about this "band"

	Probably the correct name is "Il paese dei balocchi" (The village of toys)

	" Il Paese Dei Balocchi " (from 1972) by the group of the same name, is one of the best Italian prog albums of the seventies. It's on a par with the best PFM, Le Orme and Banco albums in my opinion. The artwork is very original as well. They only made one album, as far as I know. My cd-copy comes from Mellow Records. Edited by Moogtron III

	IL PAESE DEI BALOCCHI is a quartet from Lazio that recorded only one album for CGD in 1972.Their style is very similar to classic pop of the early seventies, very fashionable abroad. The record is ok; there are some passages that lack originality while others are interesting. The voice lacks in "presence" and is reduced to the minimum. The record shows the talent of keyboards player ARMANDO PAONE, author of the songs. There's also a string group ( that makes sense with all the classical references contained herein). After this album the group participated at the third festival of avantgarde in Naples. In 1973 they disappeared from the scenes.
