Man, I was forgotten that kid he suck's.

Wen I was a stupid litle kid I listened... em... Vanilla Ice (wen i was 5 years old).
Also I listened Queen (still heard tem) and... Michael Jackson (not anymore) and some cumbias, gruperas and that kind of crap.(I don't know how write this 2 genres in english)

After that I listen most of rock like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Foo Figthers, Smashing Pumpkins and, in the adolecence (12 to 14 years, very stupid period) I feel atract by nu metal and some pop, hip hop and rock bands. From 15 to 17 I only listen Rock (international and mexican bands) and 60's 70's rock bands like beatles, led zeppelin, the doors, etc.

2 Years ago I discover Prog Rock and I tink im gonna listen it until the death.

Ohhhh, not Cumbia!!!  (I am from Argentina)

Well, you saw the light

Interesting changes in musical tastes.

BTW: my date of Birth is 1987 ... I grew up with La Renga, Los Piojos, Patricio Rey and other argentinian rock bands

DOB 1990

My tastes in music have only changed a bit. When I was around 6 I liked stuff like Live and Pearl Jam. When I was 10, Sum 41 was my favourite band, and then the others were Incubus, Creed, Nickelback, and Our Lady Peace. When I was 11, I started getting into hard rock, like System Of A Down, Nine Inch Nails and stuff, and also Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, all that stuff. I think it's actually System and music like that that helped me realize that I like unique music. But I've always loved spacey, psychedelic music like Pink Floyd, and acid stuff like the Doors.

Bands I was into before I  was 16....  Metallica, Chumbawumba, Green Day, Limp Bizkit, Orgy, Deadsy, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Static X,  Linkin Park, Nirvana, Adema, Rammstein,  Foo Fighters, Ever Clear, and I can't remember what else, but I was rabidly obsessed with Korn.

Oh well, I was a kid, and I didn't know any better.

But when I was 16, I started getting into Iron Maiden, and things started turning for the better, and I got rid of all my nu metal garbage.

Tom Petty
KISS (yep, I was a member of the KISS Army when I was five. My first concert ever was KISS with AC/DC opening, 13 Dec. 1977, at the age of 5. I outgrew the band by the time I was about 10 hehe.)

Most of the other stuff I remember liking from my childhood was just whatever my older brother and father were listening to. The most lasting of these was Rush from my brother, and Neil Young from my dad.

What i would listen to as a kid:

Elton John
Joe Cocker
Lionel Richie
George Michael
U2
(Basically what ever my parents listened to, i did)

As a teenager:
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Metallica
Creed
The odd rap song
Blink 182
(Basically what ever my friends listened to, and the radio gave me)

Now (almost 20):
Metal (the decent stuff)
Jazz
Classical
Folk
80s pop
And, of course, Prog-Rock
Plus everything in between that takes my fancy

I still apreciate the bands i listened to as a kid, and Elton John is still one of my favourites, but the stuff i listened to as a teenager i now stay well away from. Interesting, that.

Born in '67. Grew up listening to The Beatles/Wings/Lennon, Dylan and L Cohen. The first music of my own choosing was ELO and Queen.

Same. Well, actually, Chumbawumba - Tubthumping was my first album, but Reloaded was my first rock album, and that was when I was 11.

Born in '62.

Pre-teen, CCR, CSN, Joan Baez, Woody Guthrie, Peter Paul & Mary, Mammas & the Pappas, Carpenters, Butthole Surfers, stuff like that....

In the 70's was lots of Kansas, and a major thing for Bowie.  Plus Dire Straits, Chicago, Doobies, Gap Band, Bee Gees (pre-disco), and anything Motown.

Late 70's, Fear, Bad Brains, Mother's Finest, Black Flag, X, Siouxsie/Banshees.

In the 80's I bought all the Loverboy albums and went to see them live four times.  So sue me...

I'm feeling much better now (although CSN still makes for a great evening of tunes).

I don't know, whatever my parents listened to and Disney soundtracks and the Wonderbuss tapes...well, that was when I was really young. In my preteen years, I strictly listened to classical, but early on into high school, I discovered Prog and here I am today with a new found appreciation for good music (and that doesn't only include Prog, of course).

1-9 - Russian pop

9 - 14 Russian rock groups Nautilus Pompilius and Aquarium, I still like Aquarium But they're the only Russian Rock band I still like

14-15 - Hard rock, metal.

15-17 - Prog. Regular old hard rock and metal seem too simple and straightforward to me now, I like more complicated music much more.

Born in 89.

1 to 6: Guns & Roses, Metallica, AC/DC, some Green Day, Black Sabbath, a little Maiden, Ted Nugent.

7 to 12 or so: All of the above and KISS. Pure Kiss obsession. Also a little bit of Marilyn Manson. Then Deep Purple, some Skynyrd, etc. Mostly classic rock, here. Around fourth grade I discovered Gentle Giant, which led me to King Crimson and Yes. The prog journey begins!

13 - now: Slayer was the first real metal band that I got into, and then Iced Earth, and now...a lot of bands, man! Kiss are still my favorite, though. Tons of prog along the way, of course. Also dig some other stuff like Steely Dan and Elton John.
