Boys and girls

I was having a look at the Jadis albums in the Prog Archive but I couldn't see the one an only Jadis LP that I own. I couldn't even find a picture of the cover on the web either. It's a black and white picture of what looks like priest on the front and seems to have been produced by Steve Rothery.

It's got 'G-13' , 'Follow Me To Saltzberg' and a number of other tracks that I can't remember now but is it just a cheap compilation of other albums or is it a release in it's own right?

Calling all Jadis experts/fans.....

...any ideas?

1989: Album Jadis
LP - UK : Backbeat 004/12

  1. Side One:
  2. This Changing Face
  3. Follow Me To Salzburg
  4. Scratching The Surface
  5. Taking Your Time
    Side Two: (Two old demo's)
  6. G13
  7. Out Of Reach
  8. Don't Keep Me Waiting
  9. In The Dark

only side two is produced by Steve Rothery, Drums on side one by Mark Law.

Jadis made more albums, but this was the last Production Job for Jadis by Steve Rothery.

Thatīs all I could find on the web

Velvetclown; you are a star

Thanks for that. I'll put it forward for review in a while then...

I have this also, it was issued around the time of the demise of the original lineup. Just clarifying for anyone interested, the band effectively split after this release (I say release but it was only available from the band and did not make it to the shops), and Gary Chandler took over the name and formed a new band. It should be said though that Gary was the sole writer in the band even during their 80's incarnation.

They certainly were the days, saw Jadis lots of times, some in real dives !!!! I remember going for a drink with Trev (bass) in soho before a Marquee gig and getting chucked out for ordering lager and cider and then mixing them when they had told us that snakebites were banned due to a load of trouble that they had had!!!! Tried really hard to get a copy of Baboon Enquires off them but they wouldn't do one for me. Got all the other tape releases though.

Hey, love the Pendragon banner in your message, going to the weekender in Hook, can't wait. The Christmas gig was really great fun.
