The Night Siren showcases Steve's incredible guitar playing as strongly as ever, along with regular Hackett collaborators and also musicians from several different countries who Steve invited to join him in celebrating multicultural diversity and unity. This includes singers from Israel and Palestine, who both actively campaign to bring Jewish and Arabic people together. There are also instrumentals from the USA and Iraq and a multiplicity of sounds, including the exotic strains of Indian sitar and Middle Eastern tar and oud, the ethnic beauty of the Peruvian charango and the haunting Celtic Uilleann pipes.

I recommend this band from Australia called 'The Third Ending'. This is really solid prog rock, has heavy parts and also quite melodic. They have 2 great albums now.

https://thethirdending.bandcamp.com/

also here's a live performance which is now actually 10 years old but I really love it. This has some cover tunes in it also (from Rush, Dream Theater and a couple others)

Very cleanly performed, intense music above.

Here's one a bit messy / out of tunish band, but I enjoy the vibe very much

A new album "Devolver" by Lebanese multy-instrumentalist Bader Nana, now living in Kuwait. Less metal, more prog than before.

One more vote for Promenade.

I  would strongly recommend listening to Promenade and their album "Noi al dir di noi", starting with the song "Il Secondo Passo", perhaps.  My favorite track is "Athletics" but that is really a marathon at a sprint pace, maybe too much to start with.  It will probably sweep you away as it did to me. But the whole album is great...

They are a new band, coming from Genoa, Italy, with young and very talented musicians, playing and creating high quality progressive music, with a highly coherent and very well played sound,  without trying to sound like other bands, but making complex arrangements, intertwining classic influences with jazz rock ambiances that create surprisingly good melodic and intelligent music. It is always great to discover great music from young bands  in this day and age.

I would also recommend Amber Foil.

It is a one-man ambitious project, from a young guy coming from Portugal with the help of some portuguese musicians, old-timers. Portugal has not a strong tradition in prog (or in any kind of music, I would say) so it takes twice as hard to take up such a task, so here goes...

I should like to recommend We're All In This Together by IT, which has just received a great review on these very pages.

Also, Black Science by Machines Dream.

I will happily admit that I own this label :-)

Damn Virgin Black is nice!

Sorry to repeat my post guys, but maybe this is the best place to recommend this band.

Just two songs, from the same album but completely different styles, like a real prog band LOL
