Ah, but merely going to the gym (to ogle all the sweaty jocks, no doubt) is not enough, Porksword -- you have to join in!Stern Smile

There -- one more "sworn enemy" to add to my list of PA non-friends....Big smile

Yeah, I heard that said before, that you had to join in, but I never believed it. Maybe thats the reason I've never lost any pork...

Dont worry, Peter you're not my sworn enemy. I obviously need 'friends' like you to tell me where I'm going wrong!

The most I do is like 60-100 push ups a day. I have weak baby arms and need to strenghthen them, that;s the only reason i do it.

May I give you a tip..?

Dont do it every day. Three times a week should be enough. Leave at least a day between push ups to let your muscles rebuild, or you may not see much benefit. Also, do some cardio (running, swimming, cycling etc) this will help increase the definition of any muscle mass you do gain.

Take it from me, I'm a fitness instructor in a smokers body...

Dont do it every day. Three times a week should be enough. Leave at least a day between sessions to let your callouses rebuild, or you may not see much benefit. Also, do some cardio (running from the vice squad, swimming in Jello, nude unicycling etc) this will help increase the definition of any muscle mass you do gain.

Dead Is it just me, or is this thread is getting rather disturbing?

Holy crap, do I exercise! I'm in cross country and track! I run 6-8 miles 4-5 days out of the week, and the remaining days I do intense short distance workouts.

I'm not very good in cross country, but I'm getting decent in track. I have potential, and I've been working really hard, so I'm very close to doing well in track (like actually making it to regions).

BTW, Little G, I watched City of God the other night. Disturbing depiction of hopeless, violent, Rio slum youth, no? (Very good film, though!Clap)

Were you in that movie?

Peter, making smart-ass remarks doesn't count as exercise, you porky, stuffed-with-maple-syrup Canadian.

(I'm kidding, of course).

Yes, the cinematography was notably good.Thumbs Up

It was a bit exagerrated, though, was it?

Trying to keep me on topic is an exercise in futility, I'm afraid! Embarrassed

Seriously, when I eventually see movies about LA gangs or NY gangs, I exercise my brain and discount from 25% up to 50% of the brutal scenes. Big smile

I run the 400 in a 55 and my fastest 800 time is 2:13 (although I know I can do a 2:08). I can run the mile in 5:08, and my 5K best time is 19:33.
