Do it and enjoy - wonderful band. Closest comparison would be Arachnoid. I have Carpe Diem's second album "Cueille le jour" and like it very much. And I heard their first "En regardant passer le temps" is even better.

Ange made some very good albums, their best is Guet-Apens (Capitaine Couer De Miel is wonderful) but my favorite is the live 2-LP Tome VI, this one contains legenadary French progrock like like Fils De Lumiere, Dignite and Sur La Trace De Fees. For me it is one of the highlights in the French progrock history! Other strong albums are Part One from Halloween (an often psychedelic inspired atmosphere and varied keyboards) and the eponymous album from Sandrose (great Mellotron work and beautiful female vocals). Clearlight Symphony and Magma sound unique but are not my cup of tea. | Yeah Sandrose is great, along with JP Alarcen works (sandrose's guitarist and leader).

anyone have a comment about Ose, Travelling or Triode? the others seem to be pretty familiar, but I am afraid many have missed these classics! Carpe Diem's En En regardant passer le temps & Shylock's Ile de Fievres & Pentacle's La Clef Des Songes - have their moments but I would put them down the list compared to Ose, Travelling and Triode. Clearlight Symphony vs Visions, Symphony is two long songs that have a few totally captivating moments and could be cut in half to be more interesting, while Visions condenses things and offers at least 6 to 7 different approaches by the band and therefore has a broader palette and holds my attention moreso.

- Emmanuel Booz/Le Jour Ou Les Vaches...
- Emmanuel Booz/Dans Quel Etat J'erre
- Heldon/Un Reve Sans Consequence Speciale
- Heldon/Interface
- Tai Phong/Windows
These are 5 albums in 1970s. I'm a big fan of late 70s French progresseive rock.
By the way, I own Ose/Adonia. This is an excellent album. However it is impossible to select in top 5. If you like Heldon, Richard Pinhas, I think you will be pleased with Ose. There are French and Japanese LPs of this album.
Ange's best album (in my opinion) is Guet-Apens as well as erik neuteboom. But if I choose Genesis type band, first I want to suggest Mona Lisa. Avant Qu'il Ne Soit Trop Tard is excellent. Anyone seldom talk about Catherine Ribeiro + Alpes. But I like this group. Why this is unlisted on Prog Archives ? I can't forget Magma. Magma Live is great ! Chene Noir, Mama Bea Tekielski, Pulsar, Atoll, Carpe Diem, Zao, Pentacle, Lard Free, Clearlight, Memoriance, Sandrose, Martin Circus, etc etc etc
Ah 1970s passed far away
