I thought to myself, why not go back to the first threads made on this site (look at the date) and see what interesting things were discussed. And funnily enough I found this recommendation for this excellent album by one of my favourite groups, the French band NIL. I already recommended it in my thread "I Recommend" so you can read it there, or read the reviews on the page here in PA. Quarante Jours Sur Le Sinaï |

Now this is not nice. This band shuold not be ignored. I only know their two latest releases, but what good albums are those. Is it because they sing in French? Is it becuase not enough recommendations and reviews here? I don't write reviews for several reasons, but this "indifference" is inappropriate , so I maybe I will make an exception and write two reviews for the two albums I have. I truly consider Nil Novo Sub Sole to be one of 2005 best albums. Here is their bio on their PA page (yes, again): NIL biographyA blend of JADE WARRIOR and KING CRIMSON with hints of ÄNGLAGARD, this French group treads everywhere from soothing melodiousness to sudden attacks of metal. Their music goes from free to hypnotic, wild, energetic and electric rock, but also pieces which sound like jazz-rock with a touch of Zeuhl or even melodious pop songs. |

And what about NYL, another (older) french band? They released a unique album in 1976, on Pinha's "Disjuncta" label, with musicians from "Cheval fou", another psychedelic underground band. |
