On saturdays I often do a tour of the Parisian musical librarys to get new records.Apart from getting the new Robert Wyatt live at Drury Lane and some other good stuff, I took two CD's from a french group Catharsis, a Spalax release and as  so often with Spalax the credits ar more than sparse. there are no release dates, but the cover and the band members looks 100% 70's.  The records go under Volume1 : Masq and Volume 2 les Chevrons. I haven't heard the records  yet.Does anyone know them?

Musicians:

Roland Bocquet: Orgue Piano

Niles Brown: Guitar Violon

Charlotte : Vocals Violon

Yves de Roubaix : Guitar Vocals

Charlie Eddi : Percussion

Alain Geoffroy: Charango Piano

Patrick Moulia: Guitar Vocals

PS there is another active french metal band with the same name, apparently a popular name in the french rock scene

You can find something here:

Thanx Tuz,

apparently they are Prog, but "....Otherwise it sounds like a bunch of tripped-out folks who've temporarily forgotten how to play their instruments."

Catharsis were a very mixed bag; they could be great but they could be tedious too.
Oh, and their albums sometimes were ridiculously short. I mean, come on, 22 minutes length for a whole album? That's just enough for half an album.

Sounds very interesting!
