Never listened to Reale Accademia di Musica. Surprisingly they aren't on my "to-buy-list"!!Shocked

I'll check them out.Thanks ANDREW!

The last week I saw in a cd shop in Vicenza the album "Adriano Monteduro". How does it sound? In reading the unique review on this site, the album is only a poppy thing...

Adriano Monteduro - I had a chance to listen to the album to decide if I want to buy it. I returned it back, as I did not like it at all - too poppy for my taste.

Excellent album. I sometimes even go to sleep with it . It calms me.

The problem is that it in a very low volume and I need to turn it up and then when it changes to another band, my wife and I wake up because of the volume. One night we both awoke to the sound of La Mente Vola by Alphataurus sung in high volume - A great song, but not at 4:00 am, with 1:30 hours more to sleep, waking in panic due to sound of his voice penetrating our dreams.

This may seem strange, but it also  usually happens to me (not the wife, though!).

Last night I went to sleep listening to "Celeste".

In the next days I'll going to write a review for the debut album. I think the rating will be 4.

Since I've already rated the second release with 4 stars, and thinking it's a little bit superior than that, I'll round up my vote to 5.

This morning I've driven my car from Bassano to Treviso and then to Vicenza.

Records I put on my car-cd-player:

  1. Le Orme - Contrappunti (1974)
  2. Campo di Marte - same (1973)
  3. Quella Vecchia Locanda - Il Tempo della Gioia (1974)

I'm still sitting on the fence about getting into reviewing albums.. but see nothing in the debut to deduct a star from.... would be a five on my scale.

The second one, fantastic Clap, maybe even better than the first 2 PFM releases though i have to be careful here. I gave the first one a spin after some time  yesterday (due to a post of Mickey), this one is also great but not as subtle as the second one. It's really a shame they  only made 2 records, marvellous music.

I really like both equally. They are both exellent. So I would choose debut only to keep it in the race with Il tempo della gioia. And yes, the italian scene needs more recognition.

What do these guys sound like, I like the sleeve of their album with the orange faces. I'm going to get into Italian prog, Le Orme sounds pretty interesting.

One of my favorites before sleeping too Thumbs Up. This album seems to have been made especially for that purpose, I don't enjoy it as much walking on a busy train station Wink.

Is good to see old threads re-born again!Smile

BTW, the result is not changed. The two QVL's albums' MATCH is still a draw! With Il Tempo a little bit ahead (as I presumed...Wink).

Yes, I did it for 2 reasons:

1. On this site and also on other sites (Gnosis) both albums are valued more or less  equal. Still they differ significantly in content so i was interested if one would come out on top in a poll , not so.

2.There have been some complaints about there being too much threads about prog-metal. Instead of complaining  i think it's better to start new or revive old threads that are are not about prog-metal Smile.
