Not that I can see, I just added them as a band to that progtology site, so we can add them now.

If that was indeed Semool, it was totally abstract sounds coming from what sounded like synths and perhaps some guitars but it is supposed to be a trio of bass, guitar and drums so I am not sure what I heard...

Aware of Phew C. If you like these slightly unhinged oldish Japanese chicks here is another one:

Togawa Jun 「戸川純」

Very hit and miss and very eighties (think Nina Hagen) and was very popular in Japan for a while . For some reason John Zorn named a track after her

And a huge thanks for introducing me to this wonderful late seventies French obscurity!

Part Heldon, part Popol Vuh, and part Pierre Bachelet!

Holy Mother of God !

Christine 23 Onna

Anyone heard of them ? Blackie ?

Sounds not unlike Heldon, VCN Boredoms, a few vintage synthesizers, an old copy of The Faust Tapes, and a couple of horny sorority chicks thrown into a cement mixer

From 2002. One word: Instant!

It's a Yamazaki Maso (Masonna) side project. Tripped-out brilliance!

Heared of. but not heard the music. One of those bands you hear a lot about (well me anyway), but have not had the time to look into finding some of their material. Great cover by the way Wink

Also, Yu, love Masonna really good noise, I have a few of their solo albums and a split they did with Merzbow and also the one with Violent Onsen Geisha. I have been meaning to buy "Ejaculation Generater" which I think is held as their best album. Which ones would you suggest?

Can't help you here BV. Only have some compilation noise tapes and bits and pieces from friends with no tracklistings etc. Very different from Christine 23 Onna which is sonic perfection!

No worries. You keep exciting me with this Christine 23 Onna, sonic perfection; sound just like my thing.

Do you know the Japanese, industrial/noise band Nord? From what I know they only made one self titled album in 1981 on the label - Pinakotheca (very rare). I was listening to this one today while passing out on the floor, amazing stuff. I'm thinking a trade could be in hand if you don't have this one Wink

Coming you way as well (as soon as I can work out how to get it from CD to mp3)

Here is a little information on the band.

Those into Merzbow, Acid Mothers and Les Rallizes Denudes, shouldn't miss this one!

This is an impossible to find record, the guy that gave it to me wrote this, is the only information I know about the album:

"Here's another obscure gem from my tape-trading days. Some of my favorite tapes sent to me were the ones I didn't ask for...I'd told my trading buddy Masaharu from Tokyo that I was a fan of "noise/electronics" and he knew I would like this album, which he borrowed from a friend and recorded to a high-quality Maxell XL II-S cassette for me.

I can't tell you much about the artists involved other than the LP was issued c.1980 in Japan on Pinacoteca Records. The only other NORD material I've heard is a track from the "Come Again II" compilation.

I would appreciate it if you could direct me to more NORD music...this album, for me, is a true underground classic, somewhere between Kluster and Throbbing Gristle. So injest whatever substances make life bearable in your neighborhood, turn the volume all the way up, and be flattened by the psychedelic sounds of the first NORD album!!!

Great stuff Yu Clap Sounds like a very laid back, tripped out Masonna, not to mention that beautiful guitar tone.

Thought you'd be pleased!

A buddy of mine has got some more of their recordings apparently. Will beg shamelessly!
